Professor at the Dance School of the Paris Opera since 1997, Bertrand Barena teaches with rigor and lots of energy.
In 1974, after 8 years of Dance studies with professors like Raymond FRANCHETTI, Gilbert MAYER and Lucien DUTHOIT, Bertrand Barena becomes dancer at the Paris Opera.
For 24 years, he dances on numerous choreographies, (Auguste BOURNONVILLE, George BALANCHINE Serge LIFAR,
Maurice BEJART, Rudolph NOUREEV, Alvin AILEY, John
NEUMEYER, Roland PETIT, Kenneth MAC MILLAN, Jerome
ROBBINS, Pierre LACOTTE, Youri GRIGOROVITCH, Jiri KILYAN,
Mats EK... choreographies). His carreer, inspired a rigor that is really appreciated in France, Europe, South America and Asia. His lively teaching environment encourages effort and allows students to wotk specially on endurance and core. He enjoys music that motivates self improvement and help the dancer to progress.
